Kihembe Model village was visited to monitor the status of implemented activities in the community. The activities implemented in the model village include land purchase, allocation and resettlement for Batwa, houses construction, tree planting along the path to the model village and bamboo growing in the valley. It was realized that although BMCT had bought land, built houses, the issue of income generation and food security was still a question. It was also realized that the trees along the path to Kihembe Batwa settlement and the bamboo in the valley needed weeding. As I had highlighted in My January monthly report, BMCT needs to look into and implement the following.
