Over the years, BMCT has supported communities around Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks annually through projects developed by communities depending on their needs. The beneficiaries are mostly those from parishes adjacent to BINP and MGNP in the three surrounding districts of Kanungu, Rubanda and Kisoro.
The applications received from communities are vetted at parish level (LC II) using a criteria formulated by BMCT to choose the most viable depending on the prioritized needs of the communities, organizational objectives and priorities of the lower level local government.
